The SPARC project was a 5 phase renovation, demolition and addition to an existing lab facility. The project commenced with the construction of a new single story 627m² phytotron building of steel construction which houses growth chambers for experimental crops. The project also featured the construction of a new 2-storey 1,953m² lab facility boasting partially new and partially renovated spaces. Both of these buildings were turned over to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada for use in their research activities. This project modernizes and updates the research center to allow Saskatchewan and Canada to remain world leaders in agriculture research.
