The 35-bed Weyburn General Hospital replaced the previous hospital with a modern healthcare facility designed to strengthen healthcare delivery throughout the region. The project included construction of the new hospital, site servicing, utilities, traffic accommodations, landscaping, and demolition of the former hospital following completion. The completed facility provides 25 acute care beds, 10 inpatient mental health beds, an EMS ambulance station, ambulatory care services, a heliport, social work and allied health workspaces, and office space for the hospital foundation. By bringing these services together under one roof, the new hospital improves access to care, supports more efficient operations, and provides an enhanced environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
