The Southland Co-op Center is a two-story pre-engineered building with an area of 41,000sf on the main floor and 22,000sft on the second floor. The facility consists of one NHL size hockey rink, a multiroom with a pickleball court and a rock-climbing wall, a teen center, a full-sized kitchen, and a sports simulator room capable of playing up to 13 different sports. This building has 366 spectator seats along with a drink rail around the entire perimeter of the second floor. The exterior of this building consists of a plaza area with a 25’ exterior TV for watching sports and advertising upcoming events. The building was constructed of a mix of pre-engineered and conventional steel, load bearing masonry, hollowcore panels with topping and a structural slab including a double structural slab with weeping tile under the ice surface.
