The Credit Union Spark Centre is a two-storey conventional steel building that boasts 200’ clear span girder trusses allowing for an open concept due to minimal interior columns. The facility offers recreational services to the City of Weyburn year-round. These include a full-sized indoor soccer pitch, running track, golf simulators, art gallery, pottery rooms, climb and play apparatus, and an NHL-sized outdoor hockey rink. Change room spaces service both the indoor and outdoor sport surfaces. The reception area houses office space for the City Recreation Services administration staff and features millwork incorporating salvaged architectural components of the historic, now-demolished Souris Valley Mental Health Hospital. The building was constructed concurrently with the adjoined Legacy Park Elementary School.
