Wright Construction Western Inc. has been a leader in the construction industry for over a century. Wright and its predecessor companies were involved in monumental structures in Saskatoon, such as, the Delta Bessborough Hotel and several original U of S Buildings starting in 1910. Wright proudly built the new home for Huskie Athletics, Merlis Belsher Place. Our head office is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with a branch office in Calgary, Alberta.  Wright Construction employs approximately 250 people and, though most of our projects are in Saskatchewan and Alberta, we often have sites in British Columbia and Manitoba as well.  Our projects range from retail commercial construction, industrial construction, and institutional construction.


This role supports office staff, site workers, subcontractors and the general public. Predominately performing a variety of receptionist, administrative, and A/P functions this role has duties including but are not limited to:

  • General Receptionist Tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Answering all incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate parties
  • Greeting all visitors and employees while directing them to the appropriate areas and parties
  • Distributing current office phone lists when changes are made
  • Sorting, stamp, and distribute all mail and couriers daily
  • Schedule outgoing mail couriers
  • Maintain adequate amounts of office supplies and re-order when necessary
  • General Administrative Tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Meeting minute transcriptions as requested
    • Voicemail transcriptions for the President
    • Organize filing room
    • Maintain filing for projects and new jobs
    • Ensure office is kept tidy and in a professional order
    • Maintaining accurate data for insured drivers list
      • Updating employees – adding or removing
      • Ensuring licenses are being renewed monthly
    • File fiscal year end boxes and label new fiscal year boxes
  • Accounts Payable Tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Review invoices and assign cost codes and vendors
  • Enter, process for payment, ensuring accuracy, reviewing taxes and deadlines
  • Maintaining A/P filing and folders
  • Setting up accommodation rentals, utilities, and insurances for out of town jobs
  • All other duties as assigned.


  • Completion of a one-year Office Administration program considered an asset
  • Microsoft Office experience required
  • Prior construction experience considered an asset
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license
