We have an exciting opportunity available – We are seeking a Full Time skilled and experienced Project Accountant to join our team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Finance and Project Management teams under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Administer project setup, project cost controls, and reporting for assigned projects.
    1. Understand project estimate values and methodology.
    2. Administration of Consultant and Subcontractor contracts.
    3. Support monthly cost to complete process with Project Management teams.
    4. Generate reports including Timesheets, A/R, A/P, and Job Cost.
    5. Assist with cost variance analysis with an understanding of key construction issues.
    6. Assist with project cash flow reporting and forecasting.
    7. Assist project teams with requirements related to the job costs.
  2. Prepare monthly progress claims for assigned projects.
  3. Process invoices, payments, and compliance documents for assigned projects.
  4. Manage accounts receivable and payable listings for assigned projects.
  5. Complete month end journal entries and closing process for assigned projects.
  6. Prepare financial statement reports for assigned projects.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Commerce with Accounting major required
  • CPA designation or currently enrolled in CPA program preferred
  • 1-5 years of experience is preferred
  • Experience with Accounting software is an asset
  • Effective computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Knowledge of the Construction Industry is an asset
