Wright Construction Western Inc. has been a leader in the construction industry for over a century. Wright and its predecessor companies were involved in monumental structures in Saskatoon, such as, the Delta Bessborough Hotel, United Church on Third Avenue, and several original U of S Buildings starting in 1910. Our projects range from retail commercial construction, industrial construction, and institutional construction.
This role will assist in the preparation of financial information that follows all regulatory and accounting guidelines under the supervision of the Controller.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Working directly with the Controller on corporate projects
- Collaborating with project management team to analyze operations
- Analytic review of financial information
- Responsible for full cycle accounting for specific profit centers
- Opportunity to carry out internal audit functions
- Identify and implement process improvements within the organization
- Exposure to many areas of the accounting cycle with a wide variety of tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Commerce with Accounting major required
- CPA designation or currently enrolled in CPA program required
- 1-5 years of experience is preferred
- Experience with Accounting software is an asset
- Effective computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Knowledge of the Construction Industry is an asset
